The furoshiki is a length of reusable and decorative cloth. In Japan the furoshiki has been part of daily life for centuries; being used for carrying items, for storage, to wrap gifts, to spread out as a tablecloth, or to hang as a tapestry.
During the workshop, you will learn some furoshiki wrapping techniques. You will use block and relief print processes to design and print your own furoshiki.
All pieces will be steamed and fixed and available to collect within two weeks.
